Ki Youn Kim & Hanna Woll

Ki Youn Kim – Drawing
In her works, Ki Youn Kim experiments with fine lines and strokes of ink and fineliner, which she draws in layers on paper. Her works, which move between abstraction and echoes of natural forms, combine the traditional pictorial concept of East Asia with a Western, speculative formal language.

Hanna Woll – Sculpture
Hanna Woll shows sculptures whose materials always seek a connection to the earth. Her works range from the majolica piece ‘Landschafterin’ with a rough, sandblasted surface to experimental installations such as ‘Wantel’ made of clay, bitumen and modelled cords. The dried material is constantly subject to ‘change’ and you can wrap yourself in it like in a coat – hence the title of the sculpture. She is also showing glass sculptures that she moulded in the traditional Meisenthal glassworks in France.
